Natural stone brings variation that is part of the material itself. Subtle changes in tone, veining and texture can give a bathroom, kitchen or hallway a quieter, more individual character.
Discuss your natural stone tiling
Stone needs to be chosen for the room and handled with its particular characteristics in mind. Dave can discuss the look you want and the practical considerations around preparation, tile selection, setting-out and finishing.
Different stones have different requirements. Ask the supplier about suitability, sealing and maintenance, and share that information before installation. Keep a sample in the room to see it in daylight and artificial light, particularly alongside existing timber or stone features.

Every room is different. If your question is more specific, ask Dave.
It can complement existing stone and timber very well, but appearance is only part of the decision. The condition and construction of the room, the intended use and the particular stone all need to be considered.
No. Variation is a characteristic of natural stone. Look at several sample pieces rather than judging from a single tile, and discuss how the range of tones should be distributed across the room.
The answer depends on the stone, its finish and where it is used. Follow the stone supplier’s and treatment manufacturer’s guidance, and agree any sealing requirements as part of the installation scope.
Stone-effect porcelain is another option if you want a more consistent finish or a different care routine. Compare physical samples and product guidance; neither material is the best choice for every room.
